形态描述：植株高28-48厘米。根状茎短，直立，连同叶柄密被鳞片；鳞片棕色，心脏形或卵形，先端纤维状，边缘有睫毛，质薄。叶簇生，二型，柄长10-23厘米，径2-2.5毫米，禾秆色；可育叶叶片阔披针形，长达25厘米，宽约10厘米，顶部羽裂，短尖头，基部不对称，近圆形，一回羽状；羽片7-8对，互生，有柄，近平展，阔镰刀状，长达6厘米，中部宽约1.5厘米，渐尖头，基部不对称，上侧截形并凸出呈耳状，下侧圆形，两侧近全缘；不育叶叶片较狭，羽片数少而稀疏，叶轴伸长成鞭状匍伏茎，顶端有1芽孢，着地生成新植株。叶脉分离，每组5-6数，侧脉分叉，基部上方1脉向外伸展，止于中途，其余小脉伸达叶边，有时下部联结，下面隆起，可见。叶厚革质，干后绿色，上面疏伏生灰白色长柔毛，叶轴、羽轴及主脉下面密被淡棕色、卵状，边缘有睫毛的较小鳞片和灰白色的长柔毛。孢子囊群小，圆形，背生或顶生小脉上，在主脉两侧各排成2（3)行；无囊群盖。
